Raiders sign wide receiver Jordy Nelson, release Crabtree

The team announced they officially signed free agent and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson.

As NFL Free Agency is underway, the Oakland Raiders were very active on Thursday.

The team announced they officially signed free agent and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Nelson's deal is reportedly for two years, $15 million, according to NFL.com.

Nelson, 32, joins the silver and black after spending a decade with the Packers. The prolific receiver helped their organization achieve eight postseason appearances and was a member of the team who won Super Bowl XLV in 2011.

In his career, Nelson has played in 136 games, recording 550 receptions for nearly 8,000 yards and 69 touchdowns.

As the Raiders signed one receiver, another wideout's tenure ended. Earlier, the team also announced the release of Michael Crabtree.

The 30-year-old receiver spent the past two years in Oakland, playing in 46 games and recorded 232 receptions for 2,543 yards and 25 touchdowns.
