Cal Fire recommends taking Highway 88 to 89 through Kirkwood and 89 North if you are heading to South Lake Tahoe.

KYBURZ, Calif. — A big rig caught fire Friday morning, blocking off both directions of Highway 50 near Kyburz in El Dorado County.
