All lanes reopened on Highway 50 after multi-vehicle crash | Update

Update 7:30 a.m.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The westbound lanes of Highway 50 in Sacramento are moving again after being mostly shut down for more than an hour following a multi-vehicle rollover crash.

Just before 7:30 a.m., Caltrans reported all lanes reopened. There is still no word on possible injuries, despite one vehicle ending up on its top.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A four-car rollover crash has snarled traffic on westbound Highway 50 in Sacramento, Monday morning.

The crash left one car sitting on its roof in the middle of Highway 50, just to the east of Interstate 5. According to Caltrans, the far right, right middle, and left lane number one are all closed because of the crash.

Traffic on that side of the highway is backed up for miles. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area, if possible.

The cause has not yet been determined and, so far, there has been no word of injuries.

There is no estimated time for when all lanes will be up and running again.
