ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Traffic on the Highway 65 connector to westbound Interstate 80 in Roseville is severely congested after a container holding a liquid tar substance spilled onto the highway, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials say.
The spill happened around 5:40 a.m. The spill resulted in a chain-reaction of crashes, according to CHP. Caltrans crews have been working for hours to get the area cleaned up. The southbound SR-65 to westbound I-80 will remain closed for approximately 1 hour, due to clean-up.
