Thunderstorm, quarter-size hail warning for Butte, Plumas Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Butte and Plumas Counties until 7:15 p.m.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — The National Weather Service is advising of a sever thunderstorm warning for Butte and Plumas Counties.

The warning is currently active until 7:15 p.m.

According to the National Weather SErvice, a strong thunderstorm in far wester Plumas County is pushing into eastern Butte County and is capable of hail and heavy rain. 

The hazards include quarter sized hail, 65 mph winds, and frequent lightning. Location include Stirling city, Storrie, Lovelock, Tobin, and Concow.

They advise taking shelter if near the storm.
