Tornado warning issued for Calaveras, Stanislaus counties

NWS Sacramento expired all tornado warnings around 4:20 p.m. Sunday.

UPDATE (4:20 p.m.):

The National Weather Service has expired all tornado warnings in Calaveras and Stanislaus Counties.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for west central Calaveras County until 3:45 p.m. The NWS has also issued a tornado warning for north central Stanislaus and southwestern Calaveras Counties. That warning is set to expire at 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

These warnings come after a tornado warning was issued and then expired for Northeastern San Joaquin County near Linden. 

The NWS Sacramento Office tweeted, "storms capable of producing a tornado are moving northeast. Funnel clouds have been reported with these storms."

You are urged to seek shelter inside if in the area of the tornado warning.
