Dangerous winds expected overnight. Here's when they'll arrive.

The Red Flag Warning is in effect til 9 p.m. Thursday for the Valley and 10 a.m. Friday for the Foothills.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Red Flag Warning because of gusty winds, warm temperatures and low relative humidity until 9 p.m. Thursday for the Valley and 10 a.m. Friday for the Foothills.

Some of the highest winds are expected to arrive later Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. For that reason, they have also issued a Wind Advisory until noon Thursday for the Coastal Range, Sacramento Valley and adjacent foothills.

locations, with locally higher gusts over exposed ridges, canyons,
and wind prone areas.

WHEN... Through Thursday morning. Strongest winds are expected
this afternoon and tonight.

IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
