Usually, immigrants seeking asylum await their hearings in ICE detention centers, which aren't always overseen by the U.S. government. Critics say those centers are dangerous and that for-profit detention can lead to abuse. Lilia Luciano talks to some people who have found a way to help asylum seekers avoid doing what they feel is unnecessary time in jail.
