SACRAMENTO, Calif — Weekend highs will be warm but only a few degrees higher than the average of about 81 in Sacramento.
A trough to the east digs into the region bringing stronger onshore winds by Saturday evening with gusts up to 20-30 mph.
Chances for isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible for the Central Sierra Saturday afternoon, south of US 50.
A more zonal flow continues through next week with temperatures in the mid 80s for most of the week with lower 80s possible the following weekend.
Next week we could see a brief heat up into Tuesday near 90°F, before temperatures trend downward toward Memorial Day Weekend.
Expected highs so far look to be in the upper 70s.
TONIGHT: Clear with lows in the 50s and gusty winds near sunset. Sierra lows near 40°.
SATURDAY: Sunny with highs in the mid-80s. Lake Tahoe highs near 70°.
SUNDAY: Sunny with highs in the lower 80s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 60s.
MONDAY: Sunny with highs in the lower 80s. Lake Tahoe highs in the low 60s.
TUESDAY: Sunny with highs in the mid-80s. Lake Tahoe highs in the low 60s.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny with highs in the low 80s. Lake Tahoe highs near 60°.
THURSDAY: Sunny with highs in the mid 80s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 60s.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s. Lake Tahoe highs in the low 60s.
