One of the drivers is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

CERES, Calif. — One person is dead after an early morning crash in Ceres.

Police believe the Honda was behind the Mazda while they were both heading eastbound on Hatch Road. When the cars crashed, it caused them to go into the westbound lanes where the Ford then hit the Mazda. All the vehicles eventually came to a stop in the westbound lanes of Hatch Road.

Jose Luis Valdez-Villasenor, 24 of Ceres, was identified as the driver of the Honda. He is being treated for major injuries and is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The Mazda driver passed due to injuries from the crash and was dead at the scene. The driver's identity is not known at this time.

The driver and passenger in the Ford were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Anyone with information on the crash can call Officer Ortiz at 209-538-5678 or Crime Stoppers.
