Stockton High School student gets accepted to his dream college

A Stockton High School student erupted with joy when he learned he was accepted into Morehouse College.

STOCKTON, Calif. — In the midst of headlines centering around wealthy parents paying a 'consultant' to ensure that their privileged children will be accepted into the college of their dreams through bribes and falsified exams, a Stockton student showed us what a real college acceptance looks like.

While sitting in Government class Bennie, along with the support of his fellow students and teacher, checked the status of his Morehouse College application. HE GOT IN!

Although he is still in high school, earlier in his time as a student, Bennie developed an interest in bettering the education of his fellow students. He later became the Vice President of Black Students of California which is an organization made up of a collection of Black Student Union chapter across the state. Where they focus on civic engagement and improving the grades of students in need.

While Bennie was excited, as can be seen from his impressive sprint out of the classroom, it was only a few years ago when he first heard of the prestigious school.

Now just like any high school student, he is keeping his options open as he has also been accepted into the University of Arizona.

Congratulations Bennie!
