Rau Fire burns south of Elk Grove

Firefighters are battling a grass fire that broke out south of Elk Grove

ELK GROVE, Calif. — A grass fire broke out south of Elk Grove on Sunday. 

The two-alarm fire is burning south of Eschinger and east of Ed Rau Road, and people in the nearby area have been watching the blaze closely in case they need to evacuate.

CHP believe the fire was started by a downed power line.
