SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California State Fair announced more performers for its concert series Monday.
Known as the "Godmother of Soul," American R&B singer and actress Patti LaBelle will perform on Saturday, July 20 at 8 p.m.
Funk band Zapp will perform on Tuesday, July 16 at 8 p.m. The band has been a staple since the late 1970s and will feature original and new members at the state fair.
"We are overjoyed to welcome Zapp to our stage this year," Tom Martinez, CEO of California State Fair and Cal Expo said in a statement. "Their timeless music and phenomenal energy are exactly what we aim to offer at our fair. We are confident that their performance will be a highlight of this year’s concert series and will bring together music lovers of all ages."
While these concerts are free with general admission to the fair, space is first come, first served. Reserved seats are also available for purchase starting at $25.

Daily admission to the fair is $16 and the advance price is $14. Other prices for kids and seniors are available as well as different packages. Find more information HERE.
