SACRAMENTO, California — At ABC10, our responsibility is to tell the stories of our surrounding communities, but we also have a commitment to helping improve them.

One way we offer support is through ABC10’s parent company TEGNA, and the TEGNA Foundation Community Grant program. Nonprofits in our service area have the opportunity to apply for grants, typically ranging from $1,000-$5,000.

The TEGNA Foundation serves the greater good of communities by supporting nonprofit work where TEGNA stations operate. Through its programs, the Foundation invests in the future of the media industry, encourages employee giving and contributes to various charitable causes.

In 2023, ABC10 awarded grants totaling $50,000 to the following local nonprofits working to solve issues like food insecurity, health and safety, housing assistance and youth development.

Recipients include:

These grants provide nonprofit organizations with funding to face the ever-changing needs of our community and the local issues that evolve each year.

Applications for Community Grants are open through March 1, 2024. Eligibility details are listed at tegnafoundation.org/tfguidelines.html
