Filmmakers looking for talent in Stockton, Sacramento region

Filmmakers with Trupeak Entertainment will soon begin work on a psychological horror film in Stockton.

LODI, Calif. — Filmmakers hit the streets in Lodi Friday, searching for 23 locals to make their mark in an upcoming film.

"There's been a lot of talent that has come out of here," said film Director Arthur Reyes. "But we're trying to bring the film industry to Stockton."

Director Arthur Reyes and Producer Matt Bingham are excited to be in the area and expect to see a lot of talent during their upcoming 15-22 day shoot in Stockton.

"There's a lot of beautiful scenery and there's a lot of beautiful sites in Stockton that we're ready to shoot in," Bingham said. "We're just excited to see the interesting and amazing talent that's gonna come forth in Sacramento, and in Lodi."

The crew will be shooting a psychological horror movie, according to the manager with Trupeak Entertainment, who added that the movie is about a film director who is suffering from amnesia. The tagline for the movie is, “is he directing the movie from hell or are the demons directing him?”

"We're very very excited to make it as creepy as possible and excited to see the talent show us what they've got!" Bingham said.

While the casting call date has come and gone, the filmmakers told ABC10 they're more than willing to connect with locals in the industry.

"We are looking for anybody that wants to be a part of the movie, we're definitely looking for extras," Bingham said. "If you can help out in any way let us know."
