CALIFORNIA, USA — Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour starts back up in Paris after a two-month break from touring as she released her new album, "The Tortured Poets Department."
After releasing 1989 (Taylor's Version) in the middle of her tour, she started performing some of the Vault Songs as surprise songs on the tour. With Paris being the first shows since the release of a brand new double album, fans are wondering what's in store for the next leg of the tour.
She's performing four shows at the París La Défense Arena on Thursday, May 9; Friday, May 10; Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12. Paramore is the supporting act for the European dates.
These shows mark the first ones since the release of "The Tortured Poets Department" and the surprise double album release "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology." Fans have speculated online whether Swift will add a new era to the tour featuring songs from her latest album or if she'll introduce them as surprise songs.
In behind-the-scenes photos of Swift rehearsing for her tour, she can be seen holding a white microphone, which has yet to be seen on stage (the microphones correlate to each era), leaving people to speculate about some integration of the new album. Others are worried she may cut some of the songs from the other eras to make room for a new set.
Or will Swift save The Tortured Poets Department for its own tour? Fans won't have to speculate much longer as her first shows in a couple of months are about to kick off in Paris.
