Florida man hops on big gator's back and grabs jaws with his bare hands | Video

Mike Dragich is also a licensed alligator trapper and military veteran who calls himself the "Blue-collar Brawler."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Mike Dragich was at a hockey game with his family when he heard that deputies in Jacksonville, Florida were looking for a gator trapper.

Dragich, an MMA fighter, military veteran and licensed gator trapper, left the game and headed to the busy street where an 8-foot gator was holding up traffic.

A crowd watched as he grabbed the beast by the tail, hopped on its back and clamped its jaws shut with his bare hands. He wrapped tape around the gator's jaws and hauled it back to his truck.

"It was only five minutes from the game, so I literally left the game, caught the alligator, and then went back to the game!” Dragich told a local TV station.

Dragich, who calls himself the "Blue-Collar Brawler" on Instagram, was also barefoot, so a follower suggested he wear a pair of crocs next time.

This isn't the first time Dragich has made headlines for his gator-wrestling skills. Last year, he caught a 10-foot gator at a Jacksonville school.

He has tens of thousands of followers on Instagram and uses his fame to draw attention to his nonprofit, Project Savior Outdoors, which provides retreats for military veterans to prevent suicide.
