Alleged vandal punched through multiple windows at Insight Coffee

Video surveillance from the business shows the alleged vandal threw at least three punches at the window before walking away.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Insight Coffee in Sacramento closed early on Sunday after an alleged vandal punched through multiple windows of the storefront.

Sacramento police were able to find the man and detain him after a short chase on foot. Officers arrested him on a charge of felony vandalism; he'll be booked into jail after he gets treated for hand injuries.

The situation unfolded around noon on the 1900 block of 8th Street. Police said the man broke several of the windows at Insight Coffee. Video surveillance from the business shows the alleged vandal threw at least three punches at the window before walking away.

Insight Coffee said on their Instagram page that the south-side store closed for the day due to the vandalism, but no one was hurt. According to the business, they'll be back up and running at 6:30 a.m on Monday.
