3 inmates arrested after stabbing at Sacramento Main Jail

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says an incarcerated man was stabbed five to six times by multiple inmates.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A man incarcerated at the Sacramento County Main Jail was reportedly stabbed multiple times by several inmates and hospitalized Wednesday.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says three inmates stabbed the man five to six times during recreation time. They were immediately detained and will face several charges related to the stabbing.

Inmates arrested after the stabbing include:

  1. Christopher Berger (26-years-old)
  2. Francis Chavez (38-years-old)
  3. Ismael Herrera Mondello (23-years-old)

The unidentified incarcerated man who was stabbed is expected to survive his injuries.
