Children in breweries may seem to be a contradiction, however, there are many breweries in the Sacramento area that identify as "kid friendly".
While both breweries and bars can have alcohol sales, they are not the same kind of establishment.
Under California law, there are no restrictions for minors entering into an establishment that is also licensed as a public eating place and for "off-sale of alcoholic beverages."
In Sacramento, there are number of breweries that can be identified as kid friendly. However, here are eight breweries in Sacramento with something for both parents and children.
1. Urban Roots Brewing and Smokehouse
- This restaurant is kid friendly. It provides child menus, games, like their analogue arcade, and festive foods like Dippin' Dots.
2. Burgers and Brewhouse
- This is a kid friendly restaurant that provides children's menus and oversized Jenga. The restaurant told ABC10 that they were also looking into getting materials for a Cornhole game.
3. Hop Gardens Taproom
- This child-friendly brewery has board games, coloring books, and juice boxes for kids. While they don't have a menu for kids, they can prepare a cheese pizza or make an item to order.
4. Pangaea Bier Cafe
- This restaurant is kid friendly. Children are allowed into the brewery and can choose items from a small kids' menu.
5. Asian Brothers Brewing Company
- This kid-friendly restaurant provides an outdoor patio area for children and families to enjoy. Children can also enjoy some of the appetizers provided on their menu.
6. Burgers and Brew
- This kid-friendly restaurant provides a kids menu with high chairs and booster seat for families.
7. 19th Hole Cantina Restaurant
- This kid-friendly restaurant has a children's menu with chicken strips and fries available. They also provide games like foosball and have putters available to enjoy the nearby golf course.
8. BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse
- BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse is advertised as a family friendly experience. They have kids menu with array of items to choose from.
