Auburn man sentenced to 135 years in prison for child sex crimes

Bendell's abuse of the three victims, who ranged from three years old to six years old, escalated over time.

AUBURN, Calif. — An Auburn area man was sentenced to 135 years to life in prison for sex crimes against children.

The Placer County District Attorney's Office said 28-year-old Adam Bendell was sentenced Monday. 

He was found guilty of multiple charges of lewd acts on a child with a multi-victim enhancement.   

The district attorney's office said Bendell had access to young children through a dating partner. Bendell's abuse, including inappropriate touching of the three victims who ranged from three years old to six years old, escalated over time. The abuse was reported in February 2021, according to the district attorney's office.

Bendell was found guilty by a jury March 5.
