TERMINOUS, Calif. — The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office says two people are dead following a crash in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Saturday.
According to authorities, the boat crash was reported around 5:00 p.m. Saturday along the Mokelumne River near the Tower Park Marina off Highway 12.
One person, a juvenile, made it out safe, the second adult occupant pulled from the water sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead, law enforcement says.
A search for a third person did take place but hours later law enforcement sent out an update saying, "A third occupant was located with use of our SARBOT, and pronounced dead."
It's unclear what led to the crash. Only one boat was involved, officials said.
