ELK GROVE, Calif. — Macy's is set to have a location at Elk Grove's Laguna Crossroads shopping center, according to Gallelli Real Estate's recent reports.
A Jan. 10 brochure from the real estate company shows a Macy's is "coming coon" to the 31,000 square-foot location that once housed Buy Buy Baby.
While traditional Macy's locations can be hundreds of thousands of feet in square footage, the department store announced they will be opening more small-format stores in 2024 in hopes of sparking long-term sales growth.
When asked about the Gallelli Real Estate comapny opening a Macy's in Elk Grove, a Macy's spokesperson said they cannot comment on any specific plans.
"We continue to explore new locations to bring our Macy’s small format stores closer to existing and desired customers. As we finalize these plans, we will share more details," a spokesperson told ABC10.
