The CDCR said Zionarrow Taylor was reported missing after a routine count around 2:30 a.m.

CALIFORNIA, USA — An inmate who walked away from a minimum-security facility at Folsom State Prison in the early hours of Friday is back in custody, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The CDCR said Zionarrow Taylor was reported missing after a routine count around 2:30 a.m. Staff began a search and local law enforcement was notified and assisted in the search.

He was taken into custody around 9:40 a.m. in Folsom by the Folsom Police Department. The CDCR said he would be rehoused in a higher security area in Folsom State Prison.

He came to the facility from Fresno County in October after being sentenced to two years for second-degree robbery.

The Folsom Police Department said some people received a shelter-in-place message this morning, but there is no need to shelter in place.
