The four people taken to the hospital were customers of the restaurant.

MANTECA, Calif — New dashcam video shows the moments a woman’s car crashed into a restaurant in Manteca Sunday

Police said she had two kids in the car and was also arrested on suspicion of DUI.

“This collision was (preventable)," said Police Chief Stephen Schluer. "This was DUI involved and the driver was arrested for DUI. At this time, we’re not releasing what her blood alcohol content is, but she was arrested for DUI.”

The crash happened at Jack’s Pizza on West Yosemite Avenue. Chief Schluer said the car crossed over onto Yosemite Avenue at a high rate of speed, lost control and went into the building.

The car also took out a power pole. Neighbors were shocked to find a Tesla sitting inside Jack’s Pizza.

“I was asleep. My sister woke me up and the whole house is like dark. Thankfully, I had my phone," said Jose, who lives in the neighborhood.

Dashcam video shows just how fast this happened. Chief Schluer said three people were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries, one person was hospitalized with severe injuries but is in stable condition and an employee was also hurt but declined treatment.

The four people taken to the hospital were customers of the restaurant.

The female suspect is facing charges of felony driving under the influence and felony child endangerment. The suspect has only been identified as a 34-year-old woman from Oakland. Officials said the two kids in her car were not hurt during the crash.
