MODESTO, Calif. — A Turlock man died after crashing into a tree in Modesto early Monday morning.
The Modesto Police Department said the crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. Arriving officers found a small GMC pickup truck that crashed into a tree on the north side of Standiford Avenue, between Dale and Sisk roads.
Police said the driver was trapped in the car and eventually pronounced dead by fire personnel and EMS.
The man hasn't been identified at this time, but was said to be 42 years old.
Police don't know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
