Roseville Police arrest woman accused of stealing shopping cart full of Stanley cups

In a Facebook post, Roseville Police advised members of the public "against turning to crime to fulfill your hydration habits."

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Roseville Police arrested a woman Wednesday, accused of stealing a shopping cart full of 65 Stanley cups, valued at nearly $2,500.

According to police, the 23-year-old woman stole them from a store in the 6000 block of Stanford Ranch Road in Roseville Wednesday. An officer saw and pulled over the woman's car as it entered Highway 65 from Galleria Boulevard.

Photos posted to Facebook show the woman's trunk filled with Stanley cups. Officers recovered 65 of the cups.

"While Stanley Quenchers are all the rage, we strongly advise against turning to crime to fulfill your hydration habits," the Roseville Police Department said in its post. "The Roseville Police Department remains committed to stopping retail theft."
