Sacramento woman killed in two-vehicle crash on Highway 99

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on southbound Highway 99 near State Route 120.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A Sacramento woman died Sunday night after hitting the center median and being rear-ended by another vehicle on Highway 99.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on southbound Highway 99 near State Route 120.

CHP says a 30-year-old woman from Sacramento was driving a Chevy Malibu south on 99 when she went into the center median and collided with the concrete divider wall.

A second driver was unable to stop in time and hit the back of the Malibu.

The driver of the Malibu was pronounced dead at San Joaquin General Hospital.

It’s unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash. Anyone with information can call the CHP Stockton office at 209-938-4800.
