Golden 1 Center hosts basketball championships for local high schools. Here are the winners

San Joaquin Section high school basketball championships were held at Golden 1 Center on Wednesday, Feb. 21. UC Davis hosts lower division games Friday, Feb. 23.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Folsom High School girls basketball played its 2024 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) San Joaquin Section championship game against Stockton’s St. Mary’s High School Wednesday at Golden 1 Center.

At 6 p.m., the San Joaquin Section Division 1 (D1) girls basketball teams faced off for the top spot. Various divisions of local boys and girls basketball teams played all day at the Golden 1 Center on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m.

Here was the complete Golden 1 Center schedule:

Girls

10 a.m. — D3 Championship
Vista Del Lago (Folsom) vs. Manteca (Manteca)
Score: Vista wins 68-49

2 p.m. — D2 Championship
Whitney (Rocklin) vs. Vanden (Fairfield)
Score: Whitney wins 64-53

6 p.m. — D1 Championship
Folsom (Folsom) vs. St. Mary’s (Stockton)
Score: St. Mary's wins 57-51

Boys

12 p.m. — D3 Championship
Sacramento (Sacramento) vs. Christian Brothers (Sacramento)
Score: Sacramento wins 72-49

4 p.m. — D2 Championship
Del Oro (Loomis) vs. Vanden (Fairfield)
Score: Vanden wins 64-52

8 p.m. — D1 Championship
Modesto Christian (Modesto) vs. Lincoln (Stockton)
Score: Modesto Christian wins 68-63

UC Davis will host the fourth through sixth divisions’ championships Friday.
