Grilled Cheese Festival happening this weekend in Sacramento

Saturday is a 21 and up day with a grilled cheese, beer and wine tasting. Sunday is the all-ages event.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Grilled Cheese Festival is happening this weekend in Sacramento.

The festival will take place at Southside Park from Saturday, April 27 to Sunday, April 28.

Saturday is a 21+ day with a grilled cheese, beer and wine tasting.

Tickets include unlimited samples of grilled cheese, beer and wine along with a collectible glass. It lasts from 1-4 p.m. with VIP tickets granting early admission at noon. Tickets are $75 for general admission and $95 for VIP.

Sunday is the all-ages event which lasts from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission is $10 and Kids five years old and younger get in free. There will be music and entertainment and tickets only cover admission.

People should bring cash to purchase samples, according to the organizer's website. There are also free kids' activities offered at the Sunday event.

The organizers said gluten-free options will be available. There are several vendors including Bella Art Works Creative Cafe, Loadid, Dads Sandwiches, Chando's Tacos, Vegan Circus Food Truck, Sacramento Pop-Up Truck, Kupros Craft House, Henry’s Lounge, Pizza Lovers Sacramento and more.
