SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Hillary Clinton campaign announced they will open an office in downtown Sacramento Saturday afternoon.
A grand opening event is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. at 1414 K Street. Rep. John Lewis, D-Georgia, is expected to attend.
The Democratic presidential candidate, or her husband former President Bill Clinton will likely visit the region in the next month, according to Clinton's Northern California press secretary, Arielle Goren.
Clinton visited campaigned in the Los Angeles and San Francisco area last week.
The office opening follows presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vermont, visit to Sacramento Monday night where 15,000 supporters packed into Bonney Field to see him.
A May 2 KABC/SurveyUSA poll stated Clinton leads Sanders 57 percent to 38 percent.
