Imaginarium in Sacramento closed for another day due to storm

Anyone who already bought tickets for Tuesday will get a voucher to attend the Imaginarium on another date.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Winter weather will be closing the Imaginarium at Cal Expo for another day.

Officials said the event will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 19. It's the second closure after weather conditions closed the event on Monday, Dec. 18 as well.

Officials said they'll be monitoring the forecast to decide when they'll reopen.

Anyone who already bought tickets for Tuesday will get a voucher to attend the Imaginarium on another date.

When is the Imaginarium open?

It's open every day during the week of Christmas (Dec. 21- Jan. 7) aside from weather-related closures. Find the Calendar HERE.

  • Select Wednesdays: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Thursday: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Friday- Saturday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

  • Senior (62+): $21
  • Adult (13 to 62 years old): $27
  • Child (3-12 years old): $21
  • Children 2 and under are free

What can I bring?

There is a clear bag policy at Cal Expo and bags must be no larger than 12" by 12" by 2". People can carry in blankets and jackets as long as they are easily available for screening at entry. People can also bring parental bags as long as they can be screened at entry. There are exceptions for medically necessary items after proper inspection and screening. See more FAQs HERE.
