Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly been working on a project in Northern California that brought him to Sacramento over the weekend. Outlets are reporting the DiCaprio-led film has a working title of BC Project and is being directed by 11-time Oscar nominee Paul Thomas Anderson.

Users on X, formerly Twitter, reported seeing DiCaprio outside of the Gordon D. Schaber Sacramento County Courthouse Saturday.

The Sacramento Film Office said Warner Bros. had permits for filming in the area Saturday and closed roads to do so, ABC10 previously reported. DiCaprio was spotted Monday filming a Warner Bros. film in downtown Stockton.

The BC Project also stars Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris and Regina Hall. Hall was also spotted last week in downtown Sacramento.

Last week, Billy Baldwin and Ashanti were in Sacramento filming “No Address,” a movie about homelessness.

Four-time Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig filmed 2017’s best-picture nominated “Lady Bird” in Sacramento. The movie takes place in the city and centers on a fictionalization of Gerwig’s own experiences at the Catholic, all-girls St. Francis High School on Elvas Avenue.
