SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man was killed and a woman was injured after they were hit by a vehicle in south Sacramento Tuesday.
The Sacramento Police Department said the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. along Fruitridge Road. A man died at the scene and a woman was taken to a hospital. The driver stayed at the scene, according to the police department.
The man's identity hasn't been released.
Fruitridge Road is closed between Ethel Way and Laurine Way as officers investigate. There's no estimated time of reopening.
