SACRAMENTO - When Kenneth Chandler Anderson was arrested last week in connection with the sexual assault of a Subway restaurant co-worker on March 25, law enforcement wanted to know if he was also responsible for three rapes committed in the Madison Avenue-Interstate 80 area since last September.

According to analysis of evidence collected from the crimes, Anderson is not the perpetrator in those attacks, Sgt. Lisa Bowman with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

The victims in the earlier assaults described their assailant as a black man 20 to 40 years old. He has a large build, wears his hair in a short Afro or has a shaved head and is clean-shaven, His eye glasses are rectangular-shaped.

Bowman said in the most recent crime Jan. 8, the man drove a red, older model, boxy 4-door vehicle.

Anyone who thinks they recognize the attacker was urged to contact the sheriff's Sexual Assault Bureau at (916) 874-5070. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com by entering the keyword 'SSD', or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).
