South Lake Tahoe's McCallan Castles signs as undrafted free agent with Philadelphia Eagles

McCallan Castles, of South Lake Tahoe, previously played for Cal and UC Davis. He went undrafted this year.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — South Lake Tahoe's McCallan Castles didn't have his number called on NFL draft night, but he still found his way to the NFL.

The former Tennessee Volunteers tight end is heading to the Philadelphia Eagles after signing with them as an undrafted free agent.

He played one season at Tennessee after spending three seasons at UC Davis and two seasons at Cal. He played 13 games for the Volunteers as a backup to Jacob Warren and had 22 receptions for 283 yards and five touchdowns last season, according to WBIR.

He was described as a physical blocker with the ability to stretch the field.
