One person hurt after argument leads to shooting in Elk Grove

Police said the victim had a non-life-threatening wound.

ELK GROVE, Calif. — One person is in the hospital after an argument led to a shooting in Elk Grove Sunday afternoon.

The shooting was reported around 3:15 p.m. Police have set up in the area of Calvine and Vineyard roads for their investigation.

According to Elk Grove Police Department, the victim and suspect were near the area when they got into an argument. They wound up leaving in separate cars, heading eastbound on Calvine Road, when the suspect shot at the the victim.

The victim was able to drive to a hospital where he's being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The investigation is ongoing.
