RIVERBANK, Calif. — Deputies are investigating after a 17-year-old girl was hit and killed by a train Monday morning.
According to Riverbank Police Services, it happened on Patterson Road just before 11 a.m.
First responders found the teen dead near railroad tracks under the Atchison Street Bridge.
She has not been identified yet but Riverbank Police Services says the 17-year-old girl was a Riverbank resident.
The Riverbank Unified School District confirmed with ABC10 that the teenager was one of their students.
