STOCKTON, Calif. — Two people were taken to the hospital after a San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office chase in Stockton Saturday night.

The sheriff's office says they tried to make a traffic stop on Wilson Way near the diverting canal around 5 p.m. when the driver sped off.

Deputies chased the car until it crashed into another car on Hammer Land and Holman Road. The driver of the car they tried to pull over was hurt and taken to the hospital and the person who was hit was taken as a precaution. No other injuries were reported, according to officials.
