34-year-old killed in Stockton shooting, 18-year-old expected to survive

When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A 34-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Stockton Wednesday night, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting reported near South San Joaquin Street and Church Street. When they arrived, officers found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police said an 18-year-old man took himself to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

There is no information on a potential shooter and the shooting is under investigation.
