Man with baseball bat arrested for $100K in damages at Yuba City Target

The man smashed credit card readers, refrigerator glass doors, and items on shelves with a baseball bat, according to the Yuba City Police Department.

YUBA CITY, Calif. — A former Target employee was arrested on suspicion of $100,00 worth of damage at a Yuba City Target store, according to the Yuba City Police Department.

The man smashed credit card readers, refrigerator glass doors, and items on shelves with a baseball bat, according to the police department. He was identified as 25-year-old Macio Bonilla and was arrested on suspicion of burglary and felony vandalism.

The police department said they found Bonilla had been "released from employment earlier in the day."

Police say they were called to Target Tuesday night around 5 p.m. Customers and employees were told to evacuate the building. No one was hurt in the incident.
