SACRAMENTO, Calif. — If you play the lottery, you might want to check your ticket!
A Powerball ticket worth nearly $1 million was sold at a Sacramento gas station.
The lucky ticket was bought at the Shell gas station on Truxel Road in Natomas. The winner hit on five numbers, but missed the Powerball, for a total prize of $995,044, according to California Lottery.
All six numbers must match to get the jackpot prize, which is now at $79 million. The winning ticket was the only one sold in California.
Though there was no jackpot winner for this drawing, the California Lottery listed more than 48,000 individual winning tickets, with almost 32,000 people hitting on just the Powerball, for a whopping $3 prize!
