Michigan and Alabama football touch down in California for 2024 Rose Bowl

The Wolverines and the Crimson Tide have officially begun their week-long West Coast trip ahead of the Rose Bowl game on Jan. 1.

LOS ANGELES — The smell of roses fills the streets of downtown Los Angeles, as No. 1 Michigan and No.4 Alabama have officially touched down in sunny Southern California.

Both teams arrived on Tuesday, just six days before they face off in Rose Bowl Stadium for the 2024 Rose Bowl Game.

The teams began their week-long West Coast trip at the happiest place on Earth on Wednesday, as Disneyland hosted a welcome event. The welcome included a parade down Main Street with select players from both teams and head coaches Jim Harbaugh and Nick Saban marching through.

This is the sixth time Michigan and Alabama will meet in the history of their programs. The most recent time was in 2020 when they met in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Alabama walked away then with a 35-16 victory.

The Wolverines will participate in the iconic pre-Rose Bowl tradition of Lawry's Beef Bowl on Thursday when they will be treated to a celebratory meal to continue the week of events. The Crimson Tide will have theirs on Friday night.

After that, however, it will be straight business as each team will continue practices and media availability until the New Year's Day game.

The 2024 Rose Bowl game will kick off at 5:10 pm ET on Jan. 1.
