ANAHEIM, Calif. — On the heels of an epic Superbowl LVIII victory in Las Vegas against the San Francisco 49ers, the Kansas City Chiefs MVP Patrick Mahomes kicked off celebrations at the Disneyland Resort.

The Kansas City Chiefs and their three-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes were honored in a colorful celebratory cavalcade down Main Street at Disneyland in Anaheim on Monday.

“It's always a great moment I'll have forever. I think it's just seeing the people I think whenever I get back to Disneyland I get to see all the Chiefs fans and all the fans of football and having the best time of their life. I mean it is truly special and seeing the smiles on their faces," Mahomes said.

Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to victory when he threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime, and the Chiefs rallied to beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 on Sunday, becoming the first repeat Super Bowl champs in 19 years and ninth overall.

As Kansas City fans erupted at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday night, Mahomes screamed the iconic line, "I'm going to Disneyland!"

The Super Bowl MVP, wife Brittany, and two children spent the day experiencing Disneyland's popular attractions and meeting the park's beloved characters.

Dating back to 1987, Mahomes joins a long list of NFL legends who celebrated their Super Bowl wins at the Disneyland Park in Anaheim.
