SAN FRANCISCO — The last time the San Francisco 49ers won a Super Bowl, they earned a 49-26 victory over the San Diego Chargers at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami, Florida, on Jan. 29, 1995, during Super Bowl XXIX (29).

Super Bowl 29’s halftime performance featured Patti LaBelle, Tony Bennett

Disney sponsored Super Bowl 29’s halftime performance featuring Patti LaBelle and Tony Bennett that aired on ABC, according to the Bleacher Report.

Disney would acquire ABC one year later for $19 billion in 1996.

LaBelle’s and Bennett’s performances were interwoven with a skit starring actors for Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood as they tried to recover a stolen Lombardi Trophy to promote the opening of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones ride that would open two months after the Super Bowl

“I’m giving it to the winner of Super Bowl 29,” the actor playing Jones said about the trophy once it was pretend recovered.

After Jones and Ravenwood rescued the trophy, LaBelle and Bennett broke out into a rendition of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” from 1994’s “Lion King.”
