STOCKTON, Calif. — One person is dead after their car flipped over and hit a pole in Stockton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6:35 p.m. on southbound Highway 99 near the Cherokee Road offramp Wednesday and it's currently unclear what happened to make the car flip.
Officials are continuing to investigate and have closed the third lane on 99, according to Caltrans.
It's currently unknown if DUI was a factor in the crash or if anyone else was inside the car. No further information is available at this time.
