The National Weather Service adjusted several watches and warning notices on Sunday as the greater Sacramento region endures multiple storms.

An avalanche watch became a warning for the people living in the greater Lake Tahoe region.

The avalanche warning comes after heavy snow and winds brought on a dangerous threat of snow collapsing under high winds. The warning remains in effect until at least 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

A flood watch was issued late Sunday morning for thunderstorms producing torrential rain in a short amount of time.  The National Weather Service adjusted many of the floods watches adjusted as the storms shift south.

The Storm Prediction Center lists most of California under a thunderstorm threat through Sunday evening.  The risk of thunderstorms is expected to die down by 7 p.m., with a slight additional warning Monday afternoon.

Wind gusts are expected to continue through the afternoon Sunday as high as 25-35 mph, and slowing down for the valley by nightfall.

Monday, expect partly sunny skies with chances of showers in the afternoon. The low-pressure system passing us will wrap moisture back around to the San Joaquin and Sacramento Valleys.

After the storm passes, more sunshine and warmer temperatures are on the horizon. Temperatures are expected to reach 75 degrees in Sacramento by Easter weekend.
