SAN DIEGO — San Diego County is being hit with another round of storm systems.
The first storm slammed down on San Diego Saturday afternoon and continued through the weekend.
During a downpour of rain Saturday evening, emergency crews rescued a driver from an SUV that drove over a cliff in La Jolla.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they discovered a white Cadillac Escalade on the rocks of La Jolla Cove, partially hanging over the ocean waves, with at least one person needing to be rescued from the SUV.
Several ropes were attached to the SUV's rear, stabilizing the vehicle so crews could extricate the man from the car.
Hazards will include strong gusty winds up to 50 to 70 mph Saturday through Tuesday.
There will be potential for snow in our local mountains, with snow dropping from 6,500 feet Saturday. It will drop a little more on Tuesday near 4,500 feet, with another storm system expected. That second storm will keep our rain chances up through Tuesday morning.
