Aftershock 2024 lineup; Slayer reuniting and Slipknot headlining

Aftershock is returning to Discovery Park in Sacramento from Oct. 10-13, 2024.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Aftershock 2024 was recently announced for Oct. 10-13 at Sacramento's Discovery Park — marking the music festival's 12th year running.

The 4-day festival will be headlined by nu-metal band Slipknot featuring a brief unholy reunion from heavy metal legends Slayer and the first appearance from veteran hair metal band Mötley Crüe.

Additional headliners include:

  • Pantera (Thursday)
  • Five Finger Death Punch (Friday)
  • Iron Maiden & Judas Priest (Saturday)
  • Disturbed (Sunday)

A fifth stage will also be added to expand the lineup to more than 130 bands with sounds from all corners of rock n' roll music.

“We couldn’t be more excited that Sacramento has become synonymous with the largest rock festival on the West Coast,” said Visit Sacramento President and CEO Mike Testa. “The city is ready to welcome fans for four days packed with more than 130 bands and unforgettable live music experiences.”

In 2023, the sold out Aftershock hosted 160,000 music fans from all 50 states, 40 countries, and every continent except Antarctica, creating millions of dollars in economic impact for the Sacramento region.

Single day tickets, weekend general admission and VIP passes for the Aftershock Festival 2024 are now on sale and starting as low as a $10 down payment.
