SACRAMENTO, Calif. — 103 pets were adopted from Bradshaw Animal Shelter over Memorial Day Weekend 2019.
The shelter waived adoption fees for some of their animals for the three day weekend for what they called their "Memorial Weekend Adoption Special."
The shelter said in a Facebook post that they had more than 200 dogs and nearly 170 cats waiting to be adopted. Fees were waived for all altered adult dogs and cats only.
"Thank you to everyone that came out to adopt, foster, volunteer and donate," said the shelter after announcing that more than 100 pets were adopted during the holiday weekend.
If you missed out on the special but want to adopt instead of shop, pets are still available for $25. "There are still many pets needing loving homes."
